England interim manager Lee Carsley believes the Three Lions have the potential to lift the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He highlighted the abundance of talent within the squad and the importance of maximizing their potential.
“We are in a good position to do that (win the World Cup),” Carsley told Dailymail.

“We have the talent to do it. I have been lucky now to be at the last couple of World Cups and the timing of the players being in form, physically and mentally, at the right time, picking the right squad…We have got all of the tools.”
However, Carsley also acknowledged the challenges of managing an international team, particularly the limited time available for training and preparation. He emphasized the need for a balance between club and international commitments to ensure optimal performance.
With Thomas Tuchel set to take over as England’s permanent manager, the future looks bright for the Three Lions.
By harnessing the talent within the squad and implementing a winning strategy, England could be a force to be reckoned with at the 2026 World Cup.
