Chelsea have officially completed the landmark signing of England international attacker Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. The transfer, valued at a staggering £117 million (€138m), makes the 23-year-old the most expensive British player in football history and Chelsea’s all-time record acquisition.
Rogers has formally committed his long-term future to Stamford Bridge, signing a six-year contract running until June 2032, with Chelsea holding an option to extend the agreement for a further 12 months through 2033.

Speaking in his unveiling interview on the club’s official channels, Rogers expressed his enthusiasm for joining Xabi Alonso’s side ahead of the 2026/27 campaign:

Rogers leaves Villa Park after a stellar spell under Unai Emery, where he helped lift the UEFA Europa League trophy last season before earning a regular spot in England’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
