MANCHESTER, UK – Manchester United’s aggressive recruitment strategy targeting elite youth talent is set to bear fruit, as Colombian wonderkid Cristian Orozco is expected to arrive in the UK within the next few days to complete his transfer.
The 17-year-old defensive midfielder, who has been dubbed the “next Moises Caicedo,” is considered a major coup for the club.
The Red Devils have finalized an agreement to acquire the player from Colombian club Fortaleza CEIF for a modest fee of $1 million (approximately £755,000).
While the contract signing formalities will be completed during this trip, Orozco will not officially become a Manchester United player until he celebrates his 18th birthday in July 2026, due to international transfer regulations for minors.
