Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo faces around two months on the sidelines after sustaining a collateral knee ligament injury during City’s 3–2 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town.

The 26-year-old forward was introduced off the bench in the 77th minute at the Etihad Stadium before picking up the knock late in the game.He is now expected to be out until mid-December.
Maresca’s Update & Recovery Expectation
- Relief After Scans:Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League fixture against AEK Athens, Maresca revealed initial fears were worse: “In the first moment we expected an even worse injury, so we were more worried. After the scan we feel much better because it’s not so big like we expected.”
- Targeted Return:“It could be eight weeks. Now the most important thing for him is his recovery. When he is back around December, it will be like a new player in terms of energy.”
- Impact on Squad Depth: Semenyo has been a key versatile piece for Maresca this campaign, registering 5 goal contributions while serving as primary cover for Erling Haaland in central attack alongside his wide duties.
