London, England – Arsenal’s Takehiro Tomiyasu has confirmed his season is over after undergoing knee surgery.

The defender’s focus has now turned to rehabilitation and returning to full fitness for the next campaign.
In a statement, Tomiyasu said,
“I’ve had surgery on my knee a few days ago and I’ve already started my rehab to do what I love the most again. It has been the toughest period in my career for sure and it carries on a bit more but I won’t give up.”
The news comes as a blow to Arsenal, who will be without the versatile defender for the remainder of the season.
However, both the club and the player are taking a long-term view, prioritizing a full and successful recovery.
Tomiyasu’s determination to return stronger is evident in his statement, and he will undoubtedly receive the full support of the club and fans during his rehabilitation process.
His return for next season will be a welcome boost for the Gunners.
