AC Milan have officially confirmed that they have reached a mutual agreement with 28-year-old Algerian international midfielder Ismaël Bennacer to terminate his contract with immediate effect.

The resolution clears the way for Bennacer to complete a free-agent transfer to Qatari side Al-Gharafa SC.
The Chapter Closes
Bennacer leaves the Rossoneri after a seven-year spell following his initial €16 million move from Empoli in 2019.
- The Milestones:Bennacer made 178 total appearances in red and black, scoring 8 goals and providing 12 assists. He played an instrumental role in midfield alongside Franck Kessié and Sandro Tonali as AC Milan won their historic 19th Serie A Scudetto in 2021/22.
- Recent Struggles:After suffering a severe knee injury in the 2022/23 Champions League semi-finals, Bennacer spent recent seasons away on loan at Olympique de Marseille and Dinamo Zagreb.

Bennacer is currently undergoing medical checks in Doha ahead of finalizing terms with Al-Gharafa ahead of the Qatar Stars League season.
