Christopher Nkunku has broken his silence following a frantic winter window, explicitly confirming his loyalty to AC Milan.

In an exclusive interview with Gazzetta dello Sport published today, the French star put an end to the speculation that linked him with a move away—most notably to Roma or Turkey—just six months after his arrival from Chelsea.

Christopher Nkunku Dismisses January Exit Rumors

Despite a rocky start to his Serie A career, Nkunku’s recent form (scoring one goal every 63 minutes since late December) has turned him into one of Massimiliano Allegri’s most vital weapons.

“It Was An Easy Choice”

  • The Loyalty: Nkunku revealed that he never instructed his agent to listen to other offers. “My agent never mentioned any offer because he knows I wanted to be ready for Milan,” he stated.
  • The Ambition: He described Milan as the “biggest club in Italy” and emphasized that his primary goal is to win trophies in the Rossoneri shirt.
  • The Allegri Factor: Nkunku credited his resurgence to Allegri’s patience and advice to “smile more” during a difficult four-month goal drought at the start of the season.

The Milan French Connection

Nkunku also highlighted the influence of his compatriots in the dressing room:

  • Adrien Rabiot: Labeled a “beast” by Nkunku, who claimed Rabiot’s physicality allows him to “play 90 minutes every day.”
  • Mike Maignan: Both players are focused on securing a Scudetto charge while keeping one eye on the 2026 World Cup in five months. Nkunku admitted that France’s squad depth is so elite they could “field three teams” that would all be contenders.

A Project Built to Last

With a contract running until June 2030, Milan clearly views Nkunku as a long-term pillar.

The decision to keep him over the winter—even as the club explored a move for Jean-Philippe Mateta (which ultimately collapsed due to medical concerns)—proves that the “Christo” project is at the heart of Milan’s future.

“If Milan calls you… 90% of the decision is already made. The club was born to win.” — Christopher Nkunku
