FC Bayern and their captain Manuel Neuer have officially reached a “total agreement” on a new contract extension.
As of Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the final hurdles have been cleared, and the 40-year-old goalkeeper is set to extend his stay in Munich until June 2027.
Details of the “Done Deal”
- The Agreement: While negotiations have been in the final stages for over a week, transfer expert Florian Plettenberg and Sky Germany confirmed this morning that all details are now finalized.
- Pay Cut for the Project: Neuer has reportedly agreed to a significant salary reduction to facilitate the deal. Currently earning roughly €20 million gross per year, his new terms reflect a more flexible structure as he enters his 16th season with the club.
