LONDON — Arsenal Football Club has officially announced that star defender William Saliba has signed a new long-term contract, committing his future to the club until June 2030.

William Saliba Signs New Long-Term Arsenal Contract

The extension for the 24-year-old French international is a major statement of intent from the North London club, securing one of the Premier League’s top centre-backs for his peak years and fending off reported interest from European giants like Real Madrid.

Speaking on the official announcement, Saliba expressed his deep connection to the club he first joined in 2019:

“I feel proud of myself because I first signed in 2019 and now I’m still here to extend my contract.”
“I feel at home. It’s the best place to be. I enjoy every day when I have the chance to wear this shirt.”

Saliba, who became a bedrock of Mikel Arteta’s defense following his return from loan spells in France, will continue his career at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal looks to challenge for major domestic and European trophies.
