Naples, Italy – Napoli are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Torino for the transfer of Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić, with talks intensifying today in a bid to secure his services for an €18 million fee.
The Serie A giants are keen to finalize the deal quickly to pre-empt interest from Manchester United and other interested clubs.
Milinković-Savić, 28, has been a consistent performer for Torino and has caught the eye of several top European clubs, including his former youth club Manchester United.
His current contract with Torino runs until June 2026, with an option for an extension until 2027.
Reports indicate that Torino has set distinct release clauses: a lower fee for a transfer to another Serie A club (€1.9 million) and a significantly higher one for a move to a foreign league (€22.3 million).
However, Napoli’s reported €18 million offer suggests active negotiation beyond a simple clause activation.
This aggressive pursuit by Napoli highlights their determination to bolster their goalkeeping ranks.
With the summer transfer window in full swing (though some earlier reports indicate a second main window for Premier League clubs opens on June 16, and Serie A’s main summer window typically begins in July), Napoli is seemingly looking to act swiftly.
