Napoli and AC Milan have reportedly resumed direct contact today to finalize the transfer of Yunus Musah, following initial negotiations that were revealed on Tuesday.
A personal agreement with the American midfielder is already in place, and the clubs are now proceeding with talks to secure a permanent move.
Reports from Italy indicate that a verbal agreement between AC Milan and Napoli for Musah’s transfer has been established, with a fee around €25 million being discussed.
This figure would represent a profit for Milan, who acquired Musah from Valencia for just over €20 million in the summer of 2023.
Musah, 22, has reportedly given his “green light” to join Napoli, signaling his strong desire for the move.
Despite featuring in 80 matches across all competitions for AC Milan over two seasons, he has struggled to consistently nail down a starting role and his performances have been inconsistent.
Napoli, under the guidance of Antonio Conte, is seen as an ideal destination for Musah to establish himself in a specific midfield role and gain consistent playing time, especially with the club participating in the Champions League next season.
This transfer would see Musah potentially replace Phillip Billing, who is expected to return to AFC Bournemouth following the conclusion of his loan spell at Napoli.
