The announcement comes as a significant boost for the Gunners, affirming their commitment to nurturing homegrown talent.

Lewis-Skelly, an 18-year-old midfielder who has excelled at left-back, enjoyed a breakout season in 2024/25, making a remarkable 39 first-team appearances across all competitions.

His impressive performances saw him establish himself as a key player under Mikel Arteta, even earning a call-up to the England senior national team in March, where he scored on his debut against Albania.

Lewis-Skelly’s rise has been rapid, going from playing for the U21s at the start of last season to becoming a regular feature in the senior squad and making his Premier League debut against Manchester City in September 2024.
