Manchester, UK – Manchester United and RB Leipzig are in direct talks once again, working to finalize the fee and add-on package for star striker Benjamin Šeško.
The clubs are now “trying to get it done ASAP” after a significant breakthrough in the transfer saga.
This latest development follows Šeško’s personal decision last night to join Manchester United, with all personal terms reportedly agreed.
The 22-year-old Slovenian international has made it clear that Old Trafford is his preferred destination, despite a higher bid from Newcastle United. His contract with United is reportedly set to run until June 2030.
To avoid any potential injuries while his future is being sorted, Šeško will be training separately from the RB Leipzig squad.
He is now “ready to fly” to Manchester as soon as the final agreement is in place between the two clubs.
The transfer fee for Šeško is a point of ongoing negotiation. Manchester United’s initial bid was reportedly around €85 million, while Newcastle’s offer was closer to €90 million.
However, with the player’s preference for a move to United now a decisive factor, the Red Devils are confident they can adjust their offer to meet Leipzig’s demands and secure the deal.
Šeško’s arrival would be a massive statement of intent for Manchester United and their new manager, Ruben Amorim.
After a disappointing season, the club has been aggressively pursuing a top-tier striker, and Šeško, who scored 21 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig last season, is seen as the ideal fit.
An official announcement is now expected imminently, and fans are eagerly awaiting the “here we go!” signal for their new marquee signing.
