Manchester City are reportedly making significant progress in their pursuit of Wolves left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri.

Manchester City Advancing on Rayan Aït-Nouri Deal

After initial talks took place with Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Premier League champions are now looking to finalize the deal in the coming days.

Reports over the weekend indicated that the player himself has given his “green light” for the move, signaling his desire to join Pep Guardiola’s side.

Aït-Nouri has emerged as a top target for City to strengthen their left-back position, a role where they have often deployed inverted full-backs or adapted central defenders.

The 23-year-old Algerian international’s impressive performances for Wolves over the past few seasons have caught City’s eye.

He is known for his technical ability, dribbling skills, and ability to get forward, which aligns with Guardiola’s tactical demands. Sources suggest that a deal could be completed for around £50 million, though the exact fee is still being discussed.

City’s quick action in this transfer window is likely driven by their desire to have new signings integrated into the squad before the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins on June 18th.

With Kyle Walker’s departure confirmed, and a need to refresh key positions, Aït-Nouri’s arrival would be a significant step in City’s summer rebuilding plans.
