There was a heartwarming reunion in Barcelona recently as former Germany national team manager Joachim Löw paid a visit to his former assistant, Hansi Flick.
The meeting comes on the heels of Flick’s hugely successful first season in charge of the Catalan giants, where he guided them to a remarkable La Liga title and Copa del Rey triumph.
The pair have a rich history, most notably working side-by-side when Germany triumphed at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Löw was the head coach, with Flick serving as his trusted assistant, playing a crucial role in the tactical setup and team cohesion that led to their memorable victory.
Their partnership spanned eight successful years with the German national team.
Following Barcelona’s stellar season, which saw them clinch the La Liga title and lift the Copa del Rey trophy, Löw made the trip to Spain to congratulate his long-time colleague and friend.
