The departure of the 38-year-old marks the close of a truly legendary chapter in the Foxes’ history.

Signed for a reported £1 million from Fleetwood Town in 2012, Vardy’s transfer proved to be an inspired piece of business.

He was instrumental in Leicester’s promotion to the Premier League in 2014 and subsequently etched his name into football folklore during the unforgettable 2015-16 season.

Against all odds, Vardy’s 24 goals spearheaded Leicester’s incredible Premier League title triumph, a season where he also broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record by scoring in 11 consecutive league games.

Throughout his illustrious career at the King Power Stadium, Vardy has consistently delivered pivotal goals and unforgettable moments.

He secured the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2019-20 season, becoming the oldest player to achieve this feat.
