Manchester United have received a severe setback as striker Benjamin Šeško has been ruled out of action until at least January 2027.

The club’s medical hierarchy and manager Michael Carrick have collectively determined that the 23-year-old Slovenian forward will not be rushed back and will only return once he achieves a 100% full recovery.
Background & Rehabilitation Strategy
- The Injury:Šeško has been suffering from recurring bone stress in his shin, a problem that originally flared up following a heavy challenge late last season and was aggravated during United’s Carabao Cup tie against Brighton in September.
- Long-Term Protection:After extensive consultations with specialists at Carrington, United opted for conservative rest and targeted rehabilitation over rushing him back onto the pitch.
- Attacking Re-Shuffle:With Šeško sidelined for the rest of the calendar year, Carrick will lean heavily on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to lead the forward line through the congested winter fixture calendar.
