Manchester United and Swedish international defender Victor Lindelöf have mutually decided to part ways at the end of the current season.
This decision was finalized following a meeting between the player and the club this week.
Lindelöf, whose contract expires next month, will leave Old Trafford as a free agent, making him a highly attractive prospect for clubs seeking experienced defensive reinforcements without a transfer fee.
The 30-year-old is reportedly ready for a new chapter in his career and has already received proposals from clubs in both Italy and Spain.
His eight-year spell at Manchester United, since joining from Benfica in 2017, has seen him make over 280 appearances and win both the FA Cup and League Cup.
Despite his contributions, Lindelöf has found playing time more limited in recent seasons, particularly during an injury-hit 2024-25 campaign where he made just five Premier League starts.
His departure is part of a broader squad overhaul under manager Ruben Amorim, as United looks to clear the wage bill and free up funds for new signings.
