Veteran striker Edin Dzeko is on the cusp of a return to Serie A, with reports indicating he will sign a one-year deal with Fiorentina, including an option for an additional year until June 2027.
The agreement is said to include a salary of around €1.5 million net per season.
Dzeko has reportedly agreed to make the switch back to Italy, departing Fenerbahçe where his contract has expired.
This move comes as Stefano Pioli is widely expected to be appointed as Fiorentina’s new head coach. Pioli, who recently left Al-Nassr, has been strongly linked with a return to Florence, a club he previously managed.

The deal is structured with a “1+1” contract, meaning the option for the second year will likely be tied to a certain number of appearances or performance clauses.
