Istanbul, Turkey – Victor Osimhen has reportedly informed Napoli of his strong desire to finalize a deal with Galatasaray as soon as possible.

The Turkish champions are prepared to meet the striker’s €75 million release clause, but negotiations are ongoing with Napoli regarding the payment terms, which Galatasaray aims to spread over five years.
Personal terms between Osimhen and Galatasaray have been agreed since Sunday, with the Nigerian international set to sign a contract until June 2028 with an option for an additional year.
This commitment from Osimhen, who enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at Galatasaray last season (scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 appearances), underscores his clear preference for a permanent return to Istanbul despite lucrative offers from elsewhere, notably Al Hilal.
While Galatasaray has matched the €75 million valuation, Napoli is reportedly holding firm on receiving the payment in full or with stronger guarantees, rather than in installments.
Reports from Italy indicate that Napoli has requested bank guarantees and an immediate cash payment, which Galatasaray is currently unable to provide.
This difference in payment structure is the primary sticking point in the negotiations.
Napoli, under head coach Antonio Conte, is reportedly open to selling Osimhen as he is not seen as part of the club’s long-term plans, with Romelu Lukaku preferred as the main striker.
However, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is insistent on receiving the full release clause amount and on favorable payment terms.
As the July 15 deadline for Osimhen’s release clause for non-Italian clubs approaches, both clubs are working to find a compromise.
Galatasaray’s vice-president Abdullah Kavukçu was reportedly in Italy recently to discuss the move further.
All eyes are on the ongoing discussions, as Victor Osimhen pushes for the “final green light” to make his highly anticipated return to the Süper Lig champions.
