Strasbourg’s promising winger, Diego Moreira, aged 20, has officially committed his international future to Belgium.
The decision sees the talented youngster, who could have also represented Portugal, Guinea-Bissau, or Germany, opt for the Red Devils.
The news comes as Moreira has just received his first call-up to the latest Belgium squad, signaling his immediate integration into the national team setup.
Born in Liège, Belgium, Moreira spent time in the Belgian youth system at U15 level before primarily featuring for Portugal’s youth teams across various age groups, including U16, U18, U19, U20, and U21.
However, after discussions and with the approval from FIFA to switch his allegiance, Moreira has now pledged his loyalty to his country of birth.
