Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona and FC Copenhagen are reportedly set to finalize the transfer of highly-rated Swedish winger Roony Bardghji next week, at the beginning of July.

This exclusive update details the impending move for the 19-year-old talent.
The agreement between the two clubs is understood to be for an initial transfer fee of €2.5 million, with additional add-ons and a significant sell-on clause for FC Copenhagen.
The precise percentage of the sell-on clause is reported to be around 15%, ensuring the Danish club benefits from any future transfer of the player.
Bardghji’s contract with FC Copenhagen is set to expire in December 2025, which has allowed Barcelona to negotiate a relatively low transfer fee for a player who has garnered significant interest from top European clubs, including Manchester United, Porto, and Olympique Marseille.
Barcelona has moved swiftly to secure the deal, taking advantage of his contract situation.
The young winger, who has been dubbed the “Swedish Lionel Messi” by some, has been on Barcelona’s radar for over a year.
Despite suffering a cruciate ligament injury that sidelined him for much of the 2024/25 season, he returned to action in the spring, and Barcelona’s medical reports have confirmed his full recovery.
Upon his arrival, it is expected that Bardghji will initially feature for Barcelona Atletic, the club’s reserve team, while regularly training with the first-team setup under head coach Hansi Flick.
This strategy aims to integrate him into the Barça system and allow him to develop at his own pace before a potential full promotion to the senior squad.
The formal sealing of the deal in early July will mark Barcelona’s third summer signing, demonstrating their commitment to securing promising young talents for the future.
