The French right-back is heading home. Galatasaray have reached a full agreement with Bayern Munich to bring Sacha Boey back to Istanbul.
After being sold for a record-breaking €30m fee in 2024, Boey returns to the Rams Park to help secure the Süper Lig title.

The deal was made possible by the extended Turkish transfer window, which remains open until Friday, allowing Gala to snatch the 25-year-old after the German window had already closed.
The Deal Breakdown
- The Formula: A loan deal until June 30, 2026.
- The Buy Option: The agreement includes a purchase option clause (reportedly around €15m–€17m). Crucially, this is non-mandatory, giving Galatasaray the flexibility to decide in the summer.
- The Salary: Galatasaray will cover the entirety of Boey’s wages during the loan period.
- The Flight: Boey is expected to land at Atatürk Airport this afternoon (Thursday) to undergo medical tests and finalize the paperwork.
Surplus to Requirements
Despite a strong start to the season, Boey struggled to maintain a starting spot under Vincent Kompany, appearing only 15 times for Bayern this term.
With injuries hampering his rhythm and Bayern looking to trim their wage bill, a return to the environment where he became a “fan favorite” was seen as the logical step for all parties.
Galatasaray reportedly used outstanding bonuses from the original 2024 sale (worth roughly €5m) as leverage in negotiations to secure favorable loan terms.
A Busy Final 24 Hours
Gala aren’t stopping at Boey. The club is also working on late moves for:
- Renato Nhaga (Finalized)
- Sergi Altimira (Negotiations with Betis ongoing)
- Ramy Bensebaini (Monitoring situation)
