Leipzig, Germany – RB Leipzig have announced the immediate departure of their head coach, Marco Rose.
The decision comes with Leipzig currently sitting in 6th place in the Bundesliga standings and having been eliminated in the initial group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Rose was appointed by RB Leipzig in September 2022, having previously managed Borussia Dortmund.
During his time at the helm, Rose guided Leipzig to a DFB-Pokal title in 2023 and a DFL-Supercup victory.
The club finished third in the Bundesliga in the 2022-23 season and fourth in the 2023-24 season. However, a recent downturn in form has seen them slip further behind in the league.
While the club has not yet released a detailed statement regarding the specific reasons for Rose’s dismissal at this time, the team’s recent league form and European performance likely played a significant role in the decision.
RB Leipzig are expected to announce his replacement in due course as they look to improve their standing in the Bundesliga and prepare for their upcoming DFB-Pokal semi-final against Stuttgart.
