ISTANBUL, TURKEY – Negotiations are currently underway between Galatasaray and Manchester City for the transfer of Brazilian goalkeeper Éderson.

The Turkish giants have identified the 32-year-old as a top target and are actively working to secure his signature before the transfer window closes.
The two clubs, however, face a significant challenge in bridging the financial gap.
Galatasaray has reportedly tabled an opening bid of €10 million, which falls well short of Manchester City’s valuation of around €25 million.
Despite the considerable difference in price, both sides are reportedly committed to finding a middle ground.
A key factor in the ongoing talks is the player’s own desire. Éderson has made it clear that he is keen on joining Galatasaray, and his willingness to move could be a decisive element in pushing the deal forward.
His clear preference for a new chapter in Turkey adds pressure on the clubs to reach a financial agreement that satisfies both parties.
For Galatasaray, the acquisition of a goalkeeper of Éderson’s caliber would be a major statement of intent, bolstering their squad with a Champions League-winning talent.
For Manchester City, the sale of a key player would be a surprising move, but it could pave the way for a new goalkeeping strategy, potentially freeing up funds for other high-profile targets.
