Midfielder Dele Alli (29) has emphatically stated his goal of representing England at the 2026 World Cup, speaking to @TuttoMercatoWeb about his determination to return to the international fold.

“I’m definitely not done yet. I’m a very ambitious person. Now I have more ferocity than ever,” Alli declared.
Reflecting on recent challenges, he added, “The last two years have been hard for me, I had to learn a lot and grow. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. I think my goal now is to overcome what I did in the past.”
Despite acknowledging the difficulties, Alli remains resolute in his aspirations. “I don’t think the goals I set myself are too difficult to achieve.”
Reiterating his ambition to wear the Three Lions again, Alli said, “As I have already said in the past, one of my most imminent goals is to return to the England national for the 2026 World Cup. It’s still my intention.”
Alli’s last appearance for England was in 2019. His desire to earn a place in the squad for the upcoming World Cup in North America will be a key narrative to follow as he aims to reignite his career.
