Ipswich, England – Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap has a release clause in his contract that will be worth £30 million should the club be relegated from the Premier League.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea are understood to be monitoring the 22-year-old closely and have placed him on their shortlists for potential summer transfers.
Delap has impressed despite Ipswich’s current position in the league.
It has also emerged that Manchester City, Delap’s former club, retain a 20% sell-on clause from his transfer to Ipswich.
This would mean City would receive a significant portion of any fee paid if Manchester United or Chelsea activate the reported relegation release clause.
