London, England – Brentford captain Christian Nørgaard has signed a new contract with the club, committing his future to the Bees until the summer of 2027.

The Danish international midfielder has been a key figure for Brentford since his arrival in 2019.
He has made 172 appearances for the club and has played a crucial role in their promotion to the Premier League and their subsequent establishment in the top flight.
As the team’s captain, his leadership on and off the pitch has been invaluable.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank expressed his delight at the news, saying, “This new contract was a no-brainer for us and Christian. Christian has been an integral part of the fantastic journey we have been on these past six years. He is our club captain and one of our most important players.”
Frank also reflected on Nørgaard’s development: “The first time I coached him, he was a no.10; now he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the league.”
Nørgaard’s consistent performances and captaincy have made him a firm favourite among the Brentford supporters.
His contract extension will be seen as a significant boost for the club as they look to continue their progress in the Premier League.
