LONDON, UK – Borussia Dortmund have reportedly made a renewed push to sign Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, with a fresh bid submitted for the young English international.

The new proposal is said to be a loan with an obligation to buy for a fee of €20 million, along with a significant sell-on clause.
The negotiations between the two clubs are currently underway, with Chukwuemeka having made his desire to return to the Bundesliga clear.
The 21-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan at Dortmund and impressed during his time there, despite a series of injury setbacks.
This new bid from Dortmund comes after reports that Chelsea had lowered their asking price for Chukwuemeka, though the club is reportedly keen on a permanent sale rather than another loan move.
However, Chukwuemeka’s willingness to go back to Dortmund and his unhappiness with his lack of playing time at Chelsea could be a key factor in the final decision.
Chelsea signed Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa in 2022 for a fee of around £18 million, but injuries and a crowded midfield have limited his opportunities at Stamford Bridge.
A move to Borussia Dortmund would give him the chance to play regular first-team football and continue his development.
