MONACO — AS Monaco is reportedly on the verge of making a managerial change, with current head coach Adi Hütter at risk of being sacked during the current international break.

Sources close to the club indicate that the Les Monégasques hierarchy has begun the process of “exploring options to appoint a new head coach,” suggesting Hütter’s future at the Stade Louis II is severely in doubt.
Recent Results Fuel Uncertainty
While Monaco started the season strongly, recent results have cooled optimism and seemingly pushed the club’s board toward a decision.
The club is currently sitting fifth in Ligue 1 but has failed to capitalize on recent opportunities.
- Derby Disappointment: The most immediate cause for concern was the recent 2-2 draw against local rivals OGC Nice. Despite holding a numerical advantage for almost an hour, Monaco could not secure a victory, a result Hütter admitted left him “not 100% satisfied.”
- Champions League Draw: A late 2-2 draw against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League was hailed as a courageous performance by Hütter, but it followed an unconvincing defeat in their opening UCL fixture.
Hütter, who has been in charge since the summer of 2023, is understood to have the backing of his players, but the club’s decision-makers appear to be focusing on the inconsistency of performances rather than their current league position.
The international break, which runs through mid-October, is a typical window for clubs to make coaching changes with minimal disruption to the league schedule.
All eyes will now be on the Principality to see if Hütter will be relieved of his duties before the team returns to action.
