“I grew up here, everything I know is South African you know. For them, they wouldn’t be touched if I played for Bafana. South Africa is all I know. I can barely speak the native Nigerian language, but I know my roots.”

Okon’s declaration is a significant boost for South African football, as he is considered one of the most promising young defenders in the country.

His potential addition to the Bafana Bafana squad could strengthen the team’s defensive line and contribute to their future success.
