Arsenal are reportedly considering appointing either Tomas Rosicky or Per Mertesacker as their new Sporting Director.
The Gunners are on the lookout for a replacement for Edu Gaspar, whose future at the club remains uncertain.
According to Foot Mercato, the club has initiated discussions with both Rosicky and Mertesacker.
Rosicky, a former attacking midfielder, enjoyed a successful spell at Arsenal, making 246 appearances. He currently holds the position of Sporting Director at Sparta Prague.

Mertesacker, a stalwart defender during his time at Arsenal, made 221 appearances for the club. He is currently working as an Academy Manager at the Emirates.
Both former players have a deep understanding of Arsenal’s culture and philosophy, making them strong candidates for the role.
Their appointment could signal a new era for the club, focusing on youth development and a long-term vision.
As the search for Edu’s successor continues, it will be interesting to see whether Arsenal ultimately chooses to appoint one of these club legends.
