It’s official and confirmed: Serge Gnabry has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich, extending his stay at the Allianz Arena until June 30, 2028.

Despite rumors earlier in the season that he could be allowed to leave, the 30-year-old’s resurgent form under Vincent Kompany—netting 7 goals and 8 assists so far this term—convinced the board to secure his future.
The Contract Details
- Duration: A two-year extension on his previous deal (which was set to expire in 2026), keeping him in Munich until 2028.
- Salary Adjustment: Gnabry has reportedly agreed to a new salary structure to facilitate the deal, with his fixed wages dropping to approximately €15m per year (inclusive of performance bonuses), down from his previous €19m package.
- The Milestone: By the end of this contract, Gnabry will have spent over 10 years at the club since joining from Werder Bremen in 2017.
“The Pillars of the Project”
Bayern Sporting Director Max Eberl described Gnabry as an “absolute pillar” of the squad, emphasizing his leadership in the dressing room. With the departure of Leroy Sané to Galatasaray last summer, Gnabry’s versatility across the front line has become even more vital.
“When I started at Bayern, I never would’ve thought I’d be here for 10 years… we’re a real unit and can achieve something big.” — Serge Gnabry
Correction Note: Just a small heads-up on the flag—while Serge has Ivorian roots, he is a German international 🇩🇪 (born in Stuttgart) and has been a staple of the DFB-Team for years!
