Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured a massive deadline-day coup, reaching a deal in principle to sign England international Angel Gomes from Olympique Marseille.
After a week of accelerating talks, the 25-year-old midfielder is set for a return to the Premier League to lead Wolves’ fight against relegation.
The former Manchester United academy star only joined Marseille from Lille last summer, but after slipping down the pecking order under Roberto De Zerbi, he has chosen Molineux as the place to reignite his form ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
