LONDON, UK – Arsenal has officially confirmed a spectacular double signing for the future, reaching an agreement with Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle to sign twin brothers Edwin and Holgér Quintero.

The highly-rated 16-year-old duo will officially join the North London club in August 2027, when they turn 18, as part of the club’s aggressive long-term strategy to recruit the world’s best young talent.
The move is a testament to the influence of Sporting Director Andrea Berta, who is focusing recruitment on high-potential prospects from proven academies.
Independiente del Valle has a famed youth system that previously produced current Arsenal defender Piero Hincapié and Chelsea star Moisés Caicedo.
Arsenal confirmed they will collaborate closely with the Ecuadorian club on the twins’ development and well-being until they make the permanent move to London in 2027.
Edwin is described by Arsenal as a left-footed, quick, and skillful right winger, known for his dribbling and flair, while Holgér is a right-footed, technically gifted attacking midfielder praised for his progressive vision and ability to link play.
Securing the services of the two Ecuador U17 internationals—who have drawn comparisons to talents like Neymar and Thiago Alcântara—is a major statement, positioning them as cornerstones of Arsenal’s squad foundation for the next decade.
