The Spain National Team has been forced to make a change to their squad for the upcoming October international fixtures.

Dean Huijsen Leaves Spain Camp Due to Fitness Concerns; Aymeric Laporte Called Up

Real Madrid’s young centre-back, Dean Huijsen, has left the training camp after medical checks confirmed he is not 100% fit to participate in the matches.

This decision allows the 20-year-old to focus on recovery and fitness with his club.

Laporte Returns to La Roja

To fill the void in the central defense, manager Luis de la Fuente has called up veteran defender Aymeric Laporte.

The 31-year-old, who currently plays in Saudi Arabia, will link up with the squad immediately to provide experience and depth as Spain prepare for their crucial World Cup qualifiers.

Laporte is a proven fixture in the Spain setup and a reliable replacement for the injured Huijsen.
Huijsen’s ongoing fitness issue comes after reports earlier in the year suggested he was not expected to return to full fitness until “early October,” indicating a lingering issue.

This call-up was a positive step in his return, but the medical staff have opted for caution.

The other key dropouts from the Spanish squad for this international window include Rodri, Lamine Yamal, and Alejandro Grimaldo, all of whom also withdrew due to injury.
