Manchester, UK – Manchester United have officially completed the signing of dynamic winger Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for an initial fee of £65 million, plus an additional £6 million in achievable add-ons, bringing the total potential value of the transfer to £71 million.

The 25-year-old Cameroon international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract until June 2030, with an option to extend for a further year, marking a significant addition to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Mbeumo underwent his medical examinations over the weekend and the deal has been finalized in time for him to join his new teammates for
Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the USA, which departs on Tuesday.
This transfer brings an end to weeks of protracted negotiations between the two Premier League clubs, with United having had previous bids rejected.
Brentford ultimately accepted United’s third offer, making Mbeumo their most expensive sale of all time.
Mbeumo enjoyed a sensational season for Brentford, scoring 20 Premier League goals in the 2024-25 campaign and proving to be one of the division’s most impactful attackers.
His pace, directness, and consistent goal contributions are expected to provide a significant boost to Manchester United’s attack, which has been an area of focus for the club.
In a statement, Mbeumo expressed his delight, saying: “As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up.”
The signing of Mbeumo, following the earlier arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, signals Manchester United’s ambitious intent in the summer transfer window as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for top honours.
