Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has confirmed that forward Liam Delap is expected to leave the club this summer as he explores options for his next career move.

McKenna stated, “Yes, he’s looking at his options for next year. We support him with that.”
Delap, who joined Ipswich from Manchester City last summer, has impressed during his season at Portman Road, scoring 12 goals in 36 Premier League appearances.
However, with Ipswich’s relegation back to the Championship, a £30 million relegation release clause in his contract has become active, making him an attractive target for top clubs.
The 22-year-old England Under-21 international has already reportedly met with representatives from both Chelsea and Manchester United, indicating serious interest from two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
Newcastle United and Everton have also been linked with the talented striker.
McKenna acknowledged the significant interest in Delap, stating, “There’s a lot of interest and rightly so. It’s looking more likely he goes rather than stays.”
The process of finding his next club is underway, and it’s expected that Delap will make a decision that offers him a clear pathway for development and regular playing time at a high level.
